What is NovaED?
The word nova is of Latin origin which means new. NovaED is the birth of a new way of learning. It is a new kind of education that will initiate exceptional change in the Philippine IT industry. Like a Supernova, it will give light to bright minds who would eventually be future leaders of the computer world and its changing technologies.

NovaED provides an innovative way of reaching out to those who want to learn and earn. We are focused on industry needed IT Programming Skills. Our program format is divided into 30% Theories and 70% Practical Applications. We provide a real-world training and learning environment with business-oriented and soft skills program. NovaED vs. IT college degree
The NovaED program intends to bridge the gap between available IT education and the demands of the IT job market by providing a differentiated learning program which enhances the capability of students even before they graduate, hence increasing their employability. While an IT college degree teaches you theories and concepts, NovaED supplements these by providing a vestibule training program wherein students are given the same calibre of theories and concepts in a simulated working environment.
Who are NovaED’s partners?
We are partnered with dynamic companies who are leaders in the Philippine IT industry. We are also teamed up with colleges and universities that share our vision and have collaborated with us in pursuing progressive ways of learning.
What is the average class size?
Classes are about ten to twelve students per batch. We believe that keeping the classes in small sizes increase the interaction between students and trainers which is important in learning and allows a high level of focus on the quality output for each student.
What is a typical class schedule?
We have created flexible schedules based on the needs and requirements of each student. Every week, a class will include three 2-hour study sessions and three 2-hour lab sessions. The students can have more lab sessions or exercises as they may require.
When and where are the courses conducted?
The courses are conducted at our center at the 21st Floor of The Pearlbank Centre located at 146 Valero Street, Salcedo Village, in Makati City. We will be opening more centers soon to make our program convenient and accessible for the students.
Can the NovaED program take the place of an OJT program?
With NovaED partner schools, the program is recognized as an OJT program as it offers the same goal of providing the students with an effective on-the-job training to ready them in the workplace. We will assist graduating students who are from non-partner schools to seek clearance from their school to make the NovaED Program credited to their OJT program.
What materials do I need for the training?
No materials are needed. Our center is fully-equipped with essential tools and materials that will be needed in the duration of the program.
TRAINING PROGRAM
What is a vestibule training program?
"A form of training in which new employees learn the job in a setting that approximates as closely as is practicable to the actual working environment." – as defined in www.encyclopedia.com.
NovaED is adapting this form of training to ensure that students are exposed to the same environment one can find in the workplace. This program helps students prepare themselves to the work environment giving that edge of having the right experience and tools essential to produce results.
Who will be teaching in the Program?
We have a pool of industry and academe practitioners who have experiences and specializations in current programming languages used in the industry today. They have gone through experiences in facilitating, knowledge transfer, project management and client interactions which they can pass-on to students. This combination ensures that the students are exposed to both theoretical and practical processes.
How is the program assessed?
Students are provided weekly examinations. There will also be monthly exams, team and individual projects. These types of assessments form a collective way of evaluating the understanding and performance of each student.
What kind of career does the program prepare you for?
NovaED offers programs for students in JAVA, .NET and Database Programming. NovaED aims to prepare students for an IT career specializing in these programs as these are in demand in the IT industry.
What happens after I complete a program?
Through our partner companies, our graduates will enjoy the benefit of being selected for job offers depending on current their job openings.

What kind of people is the program aimed at?
For now, we are considering IT, Engineering, Math and Science Majors. However, we also take into consideration the applicant’s work experience, understanding and interest in IT and programming areas.
I have just graduated - will you consider me?
Absolutely! We recommend that you sign-up for our Fast Track program since this is designed for those who are new graduates, currently unemployed or who have time to attend sessions daily. This program helps you land an IT job the fastest.
If I fail the qualifying exam, can I reapply for the program?
Yes. We may reconsider applications for our program based on other criteria. We will be happy to discuss available options for you.
Can I undergo a program part-time?
Yes. We have a program that is specifically designed for people who are currently in senior year in college, employed or in business who have limited time to attend a full program. Typically, this program offers a minimum of twelve (12) study hours a week.
